Lighting up the Edward Woods Estate and flying the Grenfell flag as a mark of remembrance, compassion and solidarity

Hammersmith & Fulham Council will fly the Grenfell flag outside its offices in King Street this weekend on the nine-year anniversary of the devastating fire.
The flag is a mark of remembrance, compassion and solidarity on the anniversary of the tragedy which killed 72 and injured more than 70 people at the 24-storey Grenfell Tower in North Kensington.
The council will also be illuminating the Edward Woods Estate in green this weekend – located near the Grenfell Tower site.
There will be additional lighting at the Grenfell Tower and the Grenfell heart banners will be in place to mark this important date. Demolition work at the tower will pause from lunchtime on Friday 12 June and will not resume until Tuesday 16 June.

## Support from H&F
After the fire in 2017, H&F Council supported more than 50 families in temporary accommodation in the borough.
Our housing and social care teams visited the families each week, making sure they had vouchers for hot meals, travelcards, and that they were receiving the support they needed.
We also welcomed The Kensington Aldridge Academy to a temporary school site next to Wormwood Scrubs.
If you would like to talk to someone, the Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service is a free and confidential NHS service for children and adults.
Support continues to be available for bereaved families, survivors, and residents in the immediate community. You can:
– call the Grenfell Wellbeing Service on 020 8637 6279(8am to 8pm, every day)
– call Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust's (CNWL) single point of access advice line in an emergency on 0800 0234 650(open 24 hours a day, seven days a week)
– email grenfell.wellbeingservice@nhs.net
